There are hereditary werewolves out there, though they are few. Most of the time you have to be bitten by another werewolf, that's what happened to me. It's a really painful transition, but sadly i never met the werewolf that changed me. I wish he had been there when i woke up, that way i wouldn't of hated myself for so long.

Genetic werewolves are rare because the gene for it is recessive to the gene which keeps humans from being shifters.
