The Raven

"Once upon a midnight dreary,
While i pondered weak and weary,
over a many a quiant and curious volumes of forgotten lore.
While i nodded nearly napping,
suddenly there came a tapping
as of someone gently rapping-rapping at my chamber door,
Tis some visitor tapping at my chamber door
it is this and nothing more."

"Ah distinctly i remember,
It was a bleak december,
and each dying ember wrought it's ghost upon the floor.
Eagerly i wished it morrow-vainly i sought to borrow,
from these books sucrease of sorrow for the memories of my lost Lenore
memories of a rare and radiant maiden whom the angles name Lenore..."

OH YEAH! I can quote POE! That's right, be jelous, lol. i do love Poe. One reason i adore the poem the Raven is because it involves a mysterious bird, the raven, who comes to the narrator speaking only one word "NEVER MORE" which answers all the questions the man asked the bird. The raven symbolizes his memories for his lost love Lenore, "Be that our word of parting, bird or fiend, leave me to my memories of the lost lenore" "Quoth the raven Nevermore." The raven is another bird, like the crow, having relation with witches in old folklore, when actually the raven is a grand, divine bird, a great honor and worshiped as a friend of the God Of the Moon. I figured i'd teach you something knew everyday.

  2. Yes, my favorite poet of all time. First well known american gothic writer and poet. And a man with a very interesting mind, if he were alive today i'd give anything to talk to him.
